The Inter president: “Isla? We’re in discussions with the Bianconeri. The sale of an important player is a possibility.” On the sale of the club: “Negotiations with Thohir are on-going: we want to be clear on everything”
The occasional bit of clarification is always useful. Massimo Moratti has tried to make the situation at Inter a little bit clearer for everyone. He spoke about a lot of things after coming out of a meeting of the board of directors: the sale of the club, the sale of players, possible new players...Moratti and the club — “Our accounts are looking healthy. Had we qualified for the Champions League then they'd have looked even healthier. Thohir? Talks are continuing. Everyone wants to reach a conclusion that'll be best for Inter, to be clear on everything.”
Moratti and Juve —
“Tevez? They’ve bought an exceptional player. He’s very gutsy and will
help out their attack. But no one is unbeatable. Regrets, considering
Inter have been linked with him in the past? No, because he had wage
demands of €8M. We have no regrets.”
Moratti and the transfer market —
“Cassano? I’m very sad that he’s leaving. We’ll miss his class and his
ability. A high-profile departure? Possibly, but we’ll take stock of
everything slowly and calmly, not only Cassano, but also other
transfers.”
