Tevez to Juventus a done deal €12 million fee agreed with City

Milano, 25 June 2013

Bianconeri beat AC Milan to striker's signature, El Apache due in Turin for medical tomorrow. Marotta has loan bid with purchase option for Kolarov turned down: the Citizens consider him not for sale

The announcement is imminent because Juventus and Manchester City have all but signed on the dotted line: Carlitos Tevez is set to wear the famous black and white stripes after a €12 million deal with add-ons was struck. Reports suggest Bianconeri CEO Giuseppe Marotta asked to take Kolarov on loan with a purchase option as well, but City politely declined as they consider the Serb not for sale at the moment. Maybe things will change a bit further down the line. 'El Apache' is due in Turin tomorrow to undergo a medical.
CLINCHING THE DEAL — Marotta's flying visit to Manchester paid off. After travelling to the North of England on Saturday, he met up with City officials and seems to have put forward a persuasive argument. The Juve CEO nipped in ahead of AC Milan, who are struggling to move on their players and raise the funds needed. Marotta laid his bid on the table: €12 million in cash. City wanted to hold out for 15 but the news filtering out from the meeting suggests they have settled for nine plus three of (almost certain) add-ons.
tevez gives the nod — Financially, it's an opportunity not to be missed. With the player's contracting expiring in 2014, the English club couldn't afford to dig their heels in too much. The player had already agreed terms with the club: €5.5 million a year plus a series of attainable bonuses linked to appearances, goals and trophies.
