Playing golf and chilling out
for Tevez in Buenos Aires as he thinks ahead to the new season with the
Bianconeri: "I want to be ready for it. The number 10 shirt, I'm really
stimulated by the responsibility it carries".
He's really psyched up and
can't wait to start the new season in a Juventus jersey. From his villa
in the exclusive Los Cardales quarter, 60 kilometres north of Buenos
Aires, Carlos Tevez expressed his enthusiasm as he looked forward to
starting life with his new club. "I'm leaving on 9 July to begin
preparations along with my new team-mates and I want to be at my best,
because Juve is a club that demands total professionalism," said Tevez,
in the knowledge that he has a difficult challenge ahead of him, as does
the club, because with his arrival Juve plan to begin their assault on
the European crown.
CHAMPING AT THE BIT —
"I'm enjoying the last days of my holiday with my family which is what I
love most and making use of my free time to play some golf which is my
second passion after football because it helps me relax," said Tevez,
who gave away that he couldn't wait to dive head first into the
new-dimension Juve and he already seems to have built up a perfect
understanding. "I have already been contacted by a few of my new
team-mates. As soon as I arrived in Turin I received welcome messages
from some of them and that made me feel at home right away. To tell you
the truth, ever since I signed for Juve I have noticed some minor
details which have really helped me feel at home. I'm really happy and
I'm eager to get down to work and start the ball rolling here. The fans
have really warmed to me. The welcome they gave me in the airport when I
arrived and the support they showed me when I arrived in Italy has
really bowled me over."
READY FOR GLORY —
"How do I see Serie A? I haven't really had time to get a clear idea," said Carlitos in Cronica,
a daily paper, but one thing is certain: "this summer's pre-season
training will be fundamental to giving me an insight into what I can
expect and I'm really looking forward to it. I know that I have chosen a
jersey number that carries a lot of weight (number 10 was Del Piero's
jersey, Ed), but I'm not in the least worried about that. I've shown I
know how to deal with pressure. Actually, the responsibility of wearing
it fires me up," said Tevez, who is ready to bring joy and success to
the Juve fans who are already so fond of him.
